Bipolar and Monopolar Cables
Bipolar Cables
Electrosurgeries employ an electrical cable, formerly known as a bipolar cable. A Bipolar cable is used to pass electric current to a pair of electrodes on an electrical surgical tool, such as a bipolar forcep, to coagulate the tissues, primarily to reach hemostasis. Bipolar cables are constructed with two insulated wires. Each of these wires is connected to a separate electrode on the surface of an instrument.
A bipolar cable is different from a monopolar cable in the capacity of the number of electrodes. A monopolar cable can only be connected to a single electrode where the current flows through the surgical site to a grounding pad. Bipolar cables are significantly different from monopolar cables as they are safer to use, minimizing the accidental chances of a current leak.
Reach Surgical Excellence with New Med’s Range of Bipolar Cables
NewMed® is excelling in the field of laparoscopic surgery with its modernized range of bipolar cables, manufactured in-house and under expert surveillance. We have a ready stock of every type of safe bipolar cable for surgical practitioners. The surgical practitioners can pick and choose the bipolar cables depending on the material, connector types, length of the wire, and tip sizes.
Material: We have an extensive assortment of bipolar cables made from PE, Silicone, PVC, or PP. All our cable wires have electromagnetic compatibility which limits the overproduction of current. This makes our cable wires safe to use around a patient. The material we use is durable and doesn’t allow the current to leak in case of any mishaps.
Length of the Wire: Most of our cable wires are 3m long, which is considered a standard. However, the wire length can be customized depending on a surgeon’s requirement. The length of the wire mainly depends upon the distance between the electrosurgical generator and the patient.
Connector Types and Compatibility: All our cables are standardized to US 2-Pin, which is universal. Most of our bipolar monopolar cables are supplemented with a standardized connector so that they can be connected with a variety of laparoscopic forceps and generators.
We have showcased a wide assortment of bipolar and monopolar cables on our website.
